Has anyone tried using Hexprog II for unlocking ECUs or cloning EEPROMs? I found it on ecutools.eu while searching for a universal programmer that also handles BDM and bench read/write. I mainly work with BMW MEVD17 and Mercedes CRD3, and I’m wondering if this tool is reliable for both. How’s the software interface? Smooth or too technical for beginners? I’d like to hear real user experiences before buying.

Yes, I’ve been using Hexprog II for BMW ECUs. The interface is clean, and once you understand the connection diagrams, it’s smooth. It supports BDM and direct EEPROM work. Just be sure to update firmware regularly — older versions sometimes hang on MEVD units. Apart from that, it’s stable and reads fast.

After hearing so many good reviews, I finally bought the Hexprog II from ecutools.eu They had the full kit in stock with BDM cables and activation ready. I mainly needed it for BMW and Mercedes ECUs, but their site also offers extra modules for EEPROM work and immo data. Shipping to Europe took only a few days, and support sent manuals and updates right away. If you’re looking for professional-grade ECU or EEPROM equipment, check their official catalog here
