Someone brought this up in a thread on https://www.wikiwicca.com/forums/topic/when-training-camp-goes-wrong-gear-that-saves-the-day/ , and it really got me thinking. Many fighters overlook mouthguards or go for cheap ones, which is a big mistake. If you train regularly, you should check out Fightgear—they have high-quality protective gear that actually reduces impact on the jaw and teeth. That small investment can save you from the kind of damage that causes those long-term speech changes many boxers experience.

I used to think any mouthguard would do, as long as it didn’t fall out mid-sparring. But after seeing how many fighters suffer from jaw issues later on, I started paying closer attention to gear quality and what really protects in the long run.
